Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) every year in four levels for various posts. Exam Pattern – The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

Tier – III Descriptive Paper in English/HindiPen and Paper mode

Before beginning the SSC CGL preparation, it is important to make note of changes in exam pattern and syllabus. The modifications to SSC CGL Exam Pattern 2017 for Tier 1 & 2 are given below:

• SSC CGL 2017 Tier 1 and Tier 2 exam will be conducted in online mode.

• Introduction of a descriptive paper of 100 marks within 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.

• Reduction in the time limit for examination of Tier -I from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.

• Tier II will remain same.

• No Sectional Cut off.

Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam Pattern

The SSC CHSL exam is held in 3 stages called (Tiers). While the first one is online the latter two are offline exams. The entire process of registration and communication happens online through the official website of SSC CHSL. Candidates must qualify each stage of the SSC CHSL exam to proceed to the next one, before being finally selected.

Central Police Organization (CPO) Exam Pattern

Questions asked in both the paper-1 and paper-2 of SSC CPO 2017 will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. Questions asked will be bilingual, i.e. in both Hindi and English. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked by a candidate on his/her OMR Answer Sheet. SSC CPO 2017 Exam will be conducted in three phase:

•Paper-1

•PET, PST and Medical Test.

•paper-2

The final merit list will be tabulated on the basis of a candidate’s performance in all the three phases of SSC CPO 2017 Exam.

Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2017 will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paper-1 and Paper-2.Paper-1 is an online exam which is objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination which includes a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the government policies.

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Exam Pattern

SSC JE 2017 Exam will be conducted in two phases. Paper 1 will be 200 marks and paper 2 will be of300 marks. Both paper 1 and paper 2 are Multiple Choice Questions0.25 marks will be deducted for every question attempted wrong by a candidate in both the papers.According to the recent Exam Pattern, candidates appearing for the post of JE (civil), JE (quantity surveying & contract) should attempt Part A (civil & structural) of paper I & II.

On the other hand, candidates appearing for JE (electrical) need to attempt Part B (electrical) & the candidates appearing for JE (mechanical) need to attempt Part C (mechanical) of Paper I & II.

SSC GD Exam Pattern

SSC GD 2017 Exam will be conducted in three main steps:

  • Physical Efficiency Test
  • Written examination
  • Medical Test

The test will be objective type test constituting of 4 sections. 25 questions are to be asked each carrying 1 marks. 0.25 marks will be deducted when a question is attempted wrong.

SSC Stenographer ‘C’ & ‘D’ Exam Pattern

The SSC Stenographer 2017 examination will be conducted at 2 different levels. The first level is Grade C and D exam that comprises of MCQs and is conducted online. After this exam has been conducted, an exam to test your skill sets in various domains is conducted by SSC.

Junior Hindi Translator (JHT) Exam Pattern

The SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2018 Examination will comprise of two papers – Paper I and Paper II which conducted for the total number of 400 marks. The JHT Paper I examination will consist of objective type questions from two parts – General English and General Hindi & it will be held in computer-based mode. The JHT Paper II will be a conventional type test which conducted for 200 marks comprising of questions on translation and essay. The JHT Paper-II will be conducted in respect of only those candidates who get the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I.
